Process Filter Manufacturer Amazon Filters Eyes Stronger Reach Into South Africa
A UK process filter manufacturer and exporter is strengthening its market development activity in southern Africa through a major industry exhibition.
The manufacturer is partnering with long-standing regional distributor National Separations (Pty) Ltd (Natsep), who will demonstrate the products’ technical features and efficiency and sustainability benefits.
Attendees at the annual show will include representatives of companies in the petrochemical, oil and gas, energy and EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) sectors.
Many are supply chain businesses offering equipment, services and solutions to global energy producers.
One of the key event themes this year is the ‘enterprise and supplier governance’ aspect of successful procurement.
Headquartered in Johannesburg and with marketing, sales, distribution and service hubs in Cape Town, Durban and Gqeberha, Natsep provides a range of solutions involving Amazon Filters products.
Core activities include laboratory water purification, process filtration technologies for clarification and sterilisation, and microbial and particle quality control testing.
Simon Hughes, Amazon Filters’ Sales Director, said partnering on the roadshow is an ideal opportunity to demonstrate how UK-manufactured filters and housings can aid critical filtration processes in the petrochemicals and energy sectors worldwide.
Simon said: “We have been partners with Natsep for more than 20 years. What began as a fledgling relationship has blossomed to the point where they have become one of our key distributors internationally and in South Africa specifically.
“Our relationships is built on trust, loyalty, openness, support and shared values. These are the key foundations of our combined success. Natsep have proved themselves, time and again, to be an excellent partner and distributor of the Amazon Filters product range.
“South Africa is a strategic launch pad for business into the wider continent too, and we recognise that having a strong partner in Natsep has enabled us to prove our worth to other African countries.
“We credit Natsep for helping to build the name of Amazon Filters as a reliable process filter manufacturer for African customers. Sales and market development across the continent is a key part of our future growth plan globally.”
Among the Amazon Filters products to be highlighted at Sasolburg will be newly launched sustainable polypropylene versions of the flagship meltblown filter ranges SupaSpun II, SupaGard, Contour and VisClear II.
These are widely used in essential liquid filtration processes in the oil and gas, energy and renewables sectors as well as industries such as municipal water, food and beverage, chemicals and coatings, and pharmaceuticals.
Describing the process filtration market in South Africa, Luigi Settembrini, Natsep Sales Manager, Process Division, says the need for advanced filtration technology is becoming increasingly crucial in petrochemicals and oil and gas, as well as other sectors.
He added: “With sustainability emerging as a top priority, there is a growing focus on investing in innovative, energy-efficient filtration solutions that enhance efficiency and performance across the petrochemical and oil and gas value chain, streamlining upstream, midstream and downstream processes.”
